Our History

The origins of the Maissenbacher name can be traced back to Pforzheim, Germany, where metal stamping tools for the jewellery and packaging industries were first produced in 1906. Pforzheim has long been known as a centre for jewellery and precision metalwork, and the original tooling developed there supported many manufacturers in the region.

During the 1960s, production expanded from toolmaking into the manufacture of finished stamped metal fittings, supplying components for jewellery boxes, wooden packaging and presentation cases.

Following changes in the business in Germany many years later, the tooling, machinery and designs associated with the Maissenbacher product range were acquired by our current company, allowing the continuation of this specialised manufacturing tradition.

Today, Maissenbacher produces a wide range of precision metal fittings, including clasps, hinges, hooks, sliding locks and other components used in jewellery boxes, wooden packaging, instrument cases and premium presentation packaging.

Production is now based in southern Vietnam, where our manufacturing operations are managed by Production Manager Harry Baker, combining traditional tooling expertise with modern production methods.

To support customers across Europe, we maintain a sales office and warehouse in the United Kingdom, allowing us to provide responsive service and reliable distribution.

While the business structure has evolved over time, our focus remains the same:
to supply high-quality metal fittings to specialist packaging manufacturers worldwide.
